With distinctive colour and lustre, gold is a natural element resisting to rust, corrosion and erosion.
Gold is dense and it is also a precious metal of the biggest developability, which is easily malleable and preferred in jewelry manufacturing.
As a dense precious metal of the biggest developability, it is easily malleable and preferred in jewelry manufacturing.
K gold is an alloy of gold. Theoretically, we regard 24K gold as pure gold and 18K gold as 75% pure gold. We can mix gold together with other metals to manufacture K golds in different colours, ranging from light yellow to rose red, or white.
Purity/ fineness
Pure gold jewelry is a noble metal in bright yellow lustre, which is favorable among Chinese people. Because of the softness of pure gold jewelries, it is easily wear and deformed, so please be careful when wearing them. It is usually alloyed with base metals like silver, copper, nickel and zinc for use in jewelry, increasing its hardness to make it more wearable. Normally, karatage (abbreviated as K) is used as the unit to measure the fineness of gold, namely the ratio of gold in the jewelry. Gold purity can be categorized into 24 degrees. The 24K gold is considered as 100% pure gold, while 18K and 10K are also used to make jewelries. Alloys contains 75% gold is denoted as 18K, which is hard enough to resist daily wear. Alloys contains 41.7% gold and 58.3% other metals are denoted as 10K.
Maintenance
1) Avoid being exposed to chemicals such as perfumes, bleaching water and cosmetics, etc. in case of chemical actions.
2) Avoid contacting silverware, hydrargyrum and lead, etc. for these substances are easy to have chemical actions with gold, which may make white dots appearing on gold jewelries. Please come to any our stores in China mainland to have your jewelries cleaned.
3) Please take off your gold jewelries when you are taking a vapor bath or sauna for gold has high heat transfer rate. It may burn your skin by the heat through it.
4) Please use diluted soap water to wash pure gold jewelries and use soft cloth to wipe out water.
5) Please do not wear it when you are swimming. Chemicals in swimming pool or sea water contain many chemicals, which may have chemical actions with gold, thus making your jewelries to lose lustre.
6) Please use diluted neutral detergent to wash K gold jewelries and then use soft cloth to wipe out water.
7) Please use soft cloth (such as silver cloth or glass cloth) that will not tear or wear your jewelries to remove fingerprints or stains on the surface of the K gold jewelry.
8) Please do not put K gold jewelry together with other jewelries, especially diamond for they may scratch each other or cause friction due to different hardness. Please put them in independent storage box.
